Abstract submissions for the Birmingham ASM 2025
Please read this carefully before starting your submission. Please work through the form below to complete the submission. At the end of the form you will be asked to complete the Abstract dialogue box. Please use the layout in the Guidelines below to complete this and ensure you keep within the word limit as a submission will be rejected should you exceed this limit. You may wish to create your submission off line and then copy and paste it into the dialogue box.
If you wish to save your submission and edit it later click SAVE CONTENTS at the end of the form, this will generate an email with a link for you to resume the submission process. (If you don't see the link email in your inbox, please check your junk folder)
Closing Date for submission midnight 28.02.25
On completion you will recieve an email confirming a successful submission, this will also include a submission reference number, please keep this safe as it will be necessary to quote this should you need to get in touch with us.
Guidelines for the Submission of Abstracts
- · should relate to original, unpublished work and not have been presented at any major meeting.
- · must consist of four paragraphs, entitled: Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
- · be submitted as text and tables only (i.e. no figures, graphs or diagrams)
- · must fit within the abstract template. The maximum word count is 200 words.
- · no more than four authors should be listed.
- · duplicate submissions will be disqualified.
- · absolutely no changes can be made to the abstract after the closing date
BSTI takes a serious view of Research Governance. Please ensure that the abstract has been seen and agreed by all of the named authors before submission. All authors have a responsibility to ensure that the data submitted is accurate, is not extrapolated and fairly represents the presentation to be given at the Annual General Meeting.
If your submission is sucessful we will contact you in due course. It is our intention to select submissions to be presented live during the two days of the meeting. If you do not wish to present, please select poster only on the submission form
Audiovisual Arrangements
All oral presentations throughout the ASM will be delivered using the PowerPoint format. Speakers will be sent detailed guidance notes on audiovisual requirements and facilities in advance of the meeting. All posters accepted will be required in A4 Portrait in PDF format.
